Ms. Rama Ananthakrishnan has
been associated with education and training for the past 20 years. She has
received the Bachelors in Commerce Degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad,
Andhra Pradesh. She studied in St. Francis College, a prestigious institution in
Hyderabad. She got here Bachelors in Education from Bharathiar University, Tamil
Nadu. Besides this, she is Montessori trained academic from a reputed
institution, Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She is also
trained by Small Industries Institute under its entrepreneurs development
programme.
Ms. Rama Ananthakrishnan has a
brief of industrial experience with her academic background. She networks with
business individuals and groups, has computer skills and experience in direct
selling of services. She has liaisoned as education counselor with various
education institutions in Chennai. She has also done presentations on education
and training to reputed industrial houses.
She has worked as a teacher in DAV public school, Bhubaneswar, Orissa; Padma
Seshadri Bala Bhavan, Chennai; DAV, Chennai and Chellammal Hindu Vidyalaya, Chennai. She also was the
academic consultant for some of the education institutes for setting up the
Montessori and Kindergarten section.
Having witnessed and guided the
various institutions in developing basic skills in the children in the formative
years, she is the Principal of BAALYAA school,Chennai . In BAALYAA ,learning is made easy and interesting with lots of frames, computer
aided learning, visual aids and encouragement and with a stress on improving the
child’s observation and learning skills. She also runs a
Montessori and Kindergarten Education Centre to impart early childhood training
to the teachers.
She has been socially active
and is the managing trustee of Vishvodayaa Trust-a social service charitable trust. She
had been active in NSS activities and in Adult education during student days.
She is involved in training and educating the poor for self-employment. She
conducted a summer camp on arts and crafts for ladies and children with the
sponsorship of Pidilite industries (makers of Fevicol) and HDFC Bank. Nutrine
confectioneries supported her in sponsoring gift hampers for the participants.
Malayalam Manorama also sponsored the summer camp by distributing the children’s
magazine to the participants. Pidilite Industries is supporting her in such
endeavors.
She is the
proprietor of Axis
Enterprise Solutions and Services (AXIS) a services and solutions company
registered under small-scale industries.
